Glendronach 15 70cl
View productGlendronach 15 70cl
This is a whisky whose original incarnation was so popular that we drank all of it now It’s back with a new recipe thanks to master blender Rachel Barrie, combining both oloroso and PX casks into a rich sherry-monster that’s packed with spice and fruit.
Nose Fruit cake for grown-ups: not too sweet, thanks to softly singed raisins, and solidly soaked in bittersweet dark rum. Baked apples with plump raisins, brown sugar and cinnamon sit to the side, studded with glacée cherries and juicy sultanas.
Palate Rich, thick and packed with juicy-but-dried fruit – rum-soaked raisins, prunes and a touch of chopped date. Nutmeg and cinnamon sit underneath along with sticks of black liquorice. It’s more savoury than the nose suggests, focusing on fruit cake and bitter dark chocolate.
Finish Damp leaves and a hint of mint. Raisins and dates linger.

Every year, GlenDronach’s Master Blender, Rachel Barrie, handpicks a few casks from the distillery’s warehouse for release as cask bottlings. With whiskies dating back to 1968, there’s a diverse selection of barrels, hogsheads, puncheons, and butts available. Each cask boasts unique characteristics, and the Single Malt Scotch Whisky inside matures exceptionally during the aging process. GlenDronach’s rich colour comes solely from the cask wood, deepening over time.
Colour: Rouge copper
Nose: Sherry soaked bramble, orange and sultana with chocolate praline, demerara and morello cherry fruitcake.
Taste: Mulled stewed fruit, with berry and chocolate gateau, and a luxuriously sherried oak finish.

Glendronach Port Wood 70cl
View productGlendronach Port Wood 70cl
The GlenDronach Port Wood is inspired by the historical import of casked port into Scotland during the 19th century. During the 1800’s, port was “de rigueur”, and many of the finest port pipes would travel from Portugal, down its Douro River, destined for the wine cellars of the gentry. Whilst many years have passed, Portugal’s majestic Douro Valley is still renwoned for exceptional port. Glendronach have selected some of the fines port pipes to enrich their whisky for the second maturation period, expertly combining the whisky from these port pipes, to create a fruit filled expression, with layers of ripe berries rolling into their signature long, lingering finish.
