Jameson Black Barrel is a blend of traditional Irish pot still and rare small batch grain whiskeys, triple distilled and twice charred, for a rich smooth taste. It is a tribute to the distillery coopers, who painstakingly give their barrels an additional charring to reveal their untold richness and complexity. The unique blend is then matured in a combination of American oak, sherry casks and double charred bourbon barrels. Time spent maturing in these double-charred barrels lends our whiskey a unique richness, with more intensified notes of vanilla sweetness and caramel, alongside toasted wood, fruit, and warm spice.

Irish Whiskey, craft beer barrels. Like all the best conversations, the one between Jameson’s Head of Whiskey Science and the Head Brewer of a local craft beer brewery, started at the bar. A swapping of whiskey and beer barrels soon after, resulted in Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition – triple-distilled, blended Irish Whiskey that has been patiently finished in Irish craft beer-seasoned barrels.
NOSEAn initial aroma of freshly cut hay is complemented by a crisp orchard fruit character – green apples and pears, with a twist of lime zest. Mild pot still spices appear, deepening from green tea to hazelnut and milk chocolate.
TASTEThe initial sweet mouth coating typical of the Irish pot still inclusion is quickly complemented by the subtle touch of hops and cocoa beans from the beer cask finish.
FINISHLong and sweet with milk chocolate and butterscotch.

Jameson is a blended Irish Whiskey. comprised of the best of pot still and fine grain whiskeys and triple distilled giving it a signature smoothness. Jameson then age them in oak casks for a minimum of 4 years. A light floral fragrance, peppered with spicy wood and sweet notes on the nose, follow by the perfect balance of spicy, nutty and vanilla notes with hints of sweet sherry and exceptional smoothness to the taste. The finish is smooth and lingering.
