In 2011, Midleton introduced the Barry Crockett edition, named after the distillery’s master distiller. This special release undergoes aging in a combination of bourbon and new American oak barrels, creating a fascinating flavor profile. It’s worth noting that this is a limited annual release, with only around 2,500 bottles available per year.
Nose: The nose reveals gentle and sweet scents of barley, floral honey, rosemary, citrus, cut hay, Summer meadows, and toffee apples.
Palate: On the palate, enjoy the indulgence of sweet tobacco leaves and cedar, sugared peels, toffee, soft honey, vanilla, and boiled sweets.
Finish: The finish is exceptionally creamy and filled with the richness of vanilla, accompanied by hints of cinnamon and a touch of pear drop on the tail.
