An intriguing gin hailing from Monkey 47, crafted in Germany’s Schwarzwald – renowned as the Black Forest – and masterfully composed using an impressive amalgamation of precisely 47 botanicals. This blend features regional Black Forest fruits and herbs, alongside exotic Asian botanicals like elderberries, mint, almonds, jasmine, ginger, Vervain, and chamomile, among others. The resulting complexity is gracefully balanced on the palate, intertwining juniper, citrus, floral sweetness, tangy fruit, and zesty spices, rendering it superbly suitable for cocktails like Martinis and Gimlets, as well as harmonizing delightfully with tonic and a touch of orange garnish.

Nose – Woody, vegetable smells under pin fresh grassy citrus notes and botanical sweetness, like a pine forest after the rain.
Palate – Predictably complex, this is a robust and powerful gin with plenty of spice, fruit and herb flavours. It’s very well structured, and difficult to unpick but a citrus fresh start segues into pine and wood notes for a drying finish.
Finish – Wooded and reassuringly heavy.
