Despite skeptics pointing to Rory, the distillery’s greedy Shetland Pony, the mysterious event remains part of Islay lore. This non-chill filtered whisky, with its sweet yet smoky character, has won a Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2024 and two Gold medals at the International Spirits Challenge and International Wine and Spirits Competition.

Manzanilla sherry is renowned for its coastal, nutty, and salty notes, which are similar to the characteristics of our Bunnahabhain spirit. Despite being less common than some other sherries, our Master Blender and Master Distiller appreciate using it in our whisky.
To intensify and concentrate the flavor, this festival edition whisky is bottled at cask strength, without added color, and non-chillfiltered, in line with all our whiskies.
