This six year old release from The Glasgow Distillery demonstrates their wonderful spirit andwood management by combining three unpeated Cognac casks with two peated casks for a‘lightly peated’release. Initially matured within first fill ex-bourbon casks, this characteristically fruity release has been finished for an extended 3 years and 4 months within exceptional French Cognac casks tooffer notes of sweet smoke, rich honey, poached pear, dried apple, and vanilla ice cream. 58% ABV, 2250 bottles, 700ml
Nose: Experience notes of red apples and poached pear with soft vanilla ice cream, a dash of runny honey, and a hint of floral sweet smoke.
Palate: Creamy and smooth with notes of toffee apple, poached pear, leading to rich salted caramel and baked apple crumble.
Finish: Elegant and delicate; notes of honeydew melon, lemon zest and apple crumble accompanied by a light oak spice and a welcome wisp of sweet smoke.
