Introducing Glasgow 1770 Peated Cask Strength, Batch 01 – a limited release of 1000 bottles at 60.8% ABV. This popular peated single malt is crafted with Scottish malted barley peated to 50ppm and matured in virgin American white oak, finishing in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. Handpicked from three hogsheads, it showcases rich BBQ sauce, tobacco leaf, smoked Iberico ham, and fruity notes. An exceptional example of The Glasgow Distillery’s Peated whisky.
Tasting Notes
Nose: rich smoky BBQ sauce, tobacco leaf and opulent smoked Iberico ham, opening up to ripe juicy blackberries and sticky poached plums.
Palate: sweet BBQ smoke with grilled pineapple and banana lead to slow roasted
coffee beans, dried apricot and flamed orange zest.
Finish: is long and rich with lasting notes of sweet tobacco, dark chocolate, juicy raisins
and sultanas, with hints of toasted oak shavings.
