For The GlenAllachie Wine Series, the spirit initially matures in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels, then undergoes a unique twist with over two years of additional maturation in meticulously selected wine barriques, chosen by Master Distiller Billy Walker. These casks bear the imprint of their oak type, toasting, and coopering, while also reflecting the grape variety and terroir of their winery origin. Sourced from Portugal’s historic Douro Valley, these barriques enrich the GlenAllachie spirit with depth, complexity, and color.
