After maturing our whisky for 21 years, our Malt Master adds even warmer and richer flavours by uniquely finishing this single malt in first fill bourbon barrels that once contained rum from the Caribbean.
The rum-soaked cask infuses the aged whisky with a spicy warmth and indulgent vanilla and toffee sweetness, the character of the Caribbean shining through. This gives our whisky a sumptuous sweet intensity that is both rich and creamy yet still retains the unmistakable character of Glenfiddich.
Nose: A bouquet of tropical fruit and candied sweets are perfectly balanced with underlying wine notes.
Palate: Soft sweet notes reminiscent of candied fruit and Turkish delight develop into flavours of mouthwatering lychee. The fusion of sweet flavours is soon met with a rich drying sensation from the icewine.
Finish: Short and crisp.
Nose – Barley sugar, malt, dark brown sugar, orange peels, marmalade, Manuka honey, chocolate, foam bananas.
Palate – Full, fruitcake, spices, buttery vanilla, malty. Oak.
Finish – Long, mochaccino, marmalade.
Part of Glenfiddich’s Experimental Series comes a single malt which was finished for three months in casks which previously held IPA! Created collaboratively by Glenfiddich Malt Master Brian Kinsman and IPA expert Seb Jones, the IPA which was in the casks before the whisky was specially brewed for this expression by the Speyside Craft Brewery. Nose: An elegant harmony of fresh green apple, William’s pear and spring blossom. Complimented with Aromatic hops and fresh herbs.
Palate: Vibrant with a zesty citrus note followed by creamy vanilla and a hint of fresh hops.
Finish: Enduring sweetness with an echo of green hops.
