A very good whisky liqueur flavoured with caramel, spices and Scotch whisky. Not overly sweet, which is much to its credit.
Hebridean Liqueur Co
JJ Whitley’s Rhubarb vodka has a distinctly British feel to the flavour, inspired by English countryside gardens. It’s a fruit-fuelled experience that’s sweet, summery and fresh, the unique scent of rhubarb teasing the nose.
Nose – Sweet on the nose.
Palate – Full of the sweet, vanilla grassy flavour. Reminiscent of a summer meadow.
Finish – A fresh and mild appley finish.
Nose – Faint hint of vanilla along with some gentle, soft cream characteristics.
Palate – Full and round with a medium bodied weight and rich, velvety texture. Some vanilla swaying between sweet and savory with a hint of white pepper and spice.
Finish – Good length with notes of almond, clotted cream and some faint almond and Brazil nut characteristics.
Nose – There’s a pleasant fruity edge – the producer’s liken it to a kirsch – that comes from the beets.
Palate – Vanilla, light caramel, white pepper and a little creamy radish.
Finish – Warming vanilla and red liquorice.
