Nose – Gingerbread and nutmeg on the nose, a little orange zest and digestive biscuit.
Palate – Tangy lemon peel mixes well with fresh ginger, as well as stem ginger in syrup and spice.
Strength – Long, fiery ginger on the tail.
Berry Brothers & Rudd
Nose – Faint hint of vanilla along with some gentle, soft cream characteristics.
Palate – Full and round with a medium bodied weight and rich, velvety texture. Some vanilla swaying between sweet and savory with a hint of white pepper and spice.
Finish – Good length with notes of almond, clotted cream and some faint almond and Brazil nut characteristics.
Clean and elegant, with touches of peppery grains (somewhat reminiscent of rye) and vanilla pod.
Nose – Sweet on the nose.
Palate – Full of the sweet, vanilla grassy flavour. Reminiscent of a summer meadow.
Finish – A fresh and mild appley finish.
Nose – There’s a pleasant fruity edge – the producer’s liken it to a kirsch – that comes from the beets.
Palate – Vanilla, light caramel, white pepper and a little creamy radish.
Finish – Warming vanilla and red liquorice.
