Lindores Abbey’s Aqua Vitae is distilled in pot stills and then infused with a blend of spices and herbs, including cleavers, lemon verbena, douglas fir and sweet cicely, all of which are foraged from the grounds of the ancient Abbey. Good enough to enjoy simply over ice with a twist of orange. An intriguing spirit with a good bit of history behind it – the earliest Aqua Vitae produced at Lindores Abbey’s historic site was all the way back in 1494!
Complex, with delicate notes of peach and pear, alongside generous handfuls of ginger, clove and cinnamon spice. Luxurious caramel sweetness and some balanced herbal notes appear on the finish.
