Octomore 15.3 brings together heavy-weight peating levels and variable harvests from one singular farm on Islay. Complex, robust and bursting with character. Formidable smoke is countered by ripe fruit from its patient distillation, showcasing both incomporable flavour and provenance. Kissed by salty sea spray, the homegrown Islay barley imparts not only malty sweetness but evokes a true sense of place. Matured in first fill bourbon casks and first fill Oloroso hogsheads.
Malted to 307.2PPM. Bottled at 61.3%abv. Aged 5 years
15.3 is the SECOND most heavily peated whisky Bruichladdich Distillery has ever released to date. The most heavily peated was Octomore Masterclass 8.3 Edition, released in 2017 measuring a heavy weight of 309PPM.
