Presented here is a single cask Islay whisky meticulously selected by Douglas Laing for its esteemed Old Particular collection. Distilled in November 2010 at the Caol Ila Distillery, it matured exclusively within a single refill hogshead cask for a duration of 12 years. In December 2022, it was skillfully bottled at a robust 48.4% ABV, meticulously prepared without the use of chill-filtration or the addition of any artificial coloring agents.
Nose: Lemon peel, rock pools, vanilla, garden herbs, and a hint of liquorice.
Palate: Oily and sweet with custard, ginger, and lots of maritime smoky elements.
Finish: Full of smoke and creamy sweetness.
