Award-winning Pickering’s Gin has been rested over sloe berries for 12 months to lend just the right amount of dry spice to the rich, sweet flavour of sloe berries.
The resulting spirit is a wonderfully smooth, slightly spicy sip with flavours of red cherry and toasted almonds. Wonderful served neat with ice, or splashed into a glass of Prosecco for a warming treat.
Gin Bothy Sloe Gin
Infused With Fresh Sloes Handpicked In Scotland With Hints Of Wild Blueberry From The Iconic Heather Moors.
A fresh addition to the infused gin range, and another that follows Scotland’s seasonal fruit calendar.
A smooth liqueur, it’s great neat on ice or in your hip flask.
Nose – Up-front juniper notes, with subtle spicy, herbal notes and fresh citrus.
Palate – Once again, the juniper is in the front, supported once more by lively citrus, though on the palate, this is joined by subtle nutty notes and hints of sweet anise.
Finish – A crisp, full-flavoured, herbal finish.
The soft, sun-kissed citrus of the pink grapefruit complements this gin’s spicier botanicals, while lemongrass adds fragrant warmth. Finally, a tantalising hint of extra cardamom was added to give the gin liqueur a uniquely sumptuous finish
Nose – Huge waves of fresh juniper and dried peels. Incredibly vibrant. Slightly vegetal – sugar snap peas?
Palate – Fragrant mandarin and rich, earthy orris. The bumped-up ABV brings exotic spiciness to the fore after a few sips.
Finish – Liquorice root, black pepper and a touch of cumin powder.
