The Port of Leith Distillery want to produce outstanding single malt whisky and to do that they need to find some very special barrels to mature their whisky, and they began by looking for very special producers. Established 1727 , Martha’s family has specialised in producing the finest, complex ports from the Douro Valley for generations. Matured in old oak casks, this wine has vibrant orange, citrus and honied aromas, with lemon, apple and hints of vanilla and almonds on the pallet. One day you may find some of these flavours swirling through their whisky.
