    McLean’s Something Clear Gin 50cl

This limited edition gin from McLean’s gin was released to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. It is one of only 352 bottles made which are loosely based on their popular Something Blue recipe. Something clear is distilled London Dry Gin, with the addition of 3 further botanicals including hand picked Loquat Leaf, the fruit of which they picked on the day of their engagement.

Tasting notes  the tantalising aroma of sweet juniper coalesces with a careful balance of delicate floral notes, rich earth, fragrant spice and fresh citrus, whisking the drinker away to a balmy evening in early June. Tasted neat, the liquid is bold, fruity and floral with a remarkable sweetness not normally associated with London Dry type gin. The liquid comes to life diluted moderately with premium tonic water; fresh orange and blackcurrant flavours give way to violet vanilla, fresh herbs and just a hint of cardamom to finish.

This gin is 50%ABV to reflect equal partnership that marriage entails.
