Auchriosk is a distillery many have yet to hear of.
It is a relative newbie when compared to some of its ancient Speyside counterparts.
First bottled in 1986 as a single malt, it was noted for its subtle, soft fruity qualities.
It’s those qualities the team at Fable are looking for when selecting casks from Auchroisk.
Matured in American oak which helps build flavours of candied fruits, oat biscuits and marmalade; an intriguing single malt.
There is a hint of pepper on the finish which is a pleasant surprise.
