Nose: Sweet notes of vanilla and caramel are intertwined with cedar, wood spice and hints of ripe fruits.
Palate: Rich, yet dry on the palate. Honey spice, stone fruits, toasted oak and a gentle note of freshly cut grass.
Finish: Lingering finish of desiccated coconut and a touch of cocoa. -

Distilled in September 1998, this whisky represents one of the final production runs of a now-silent distillery. Aged for 20 years in American White Oak, it underwent a seven-month finishing period in cognac barriques previously holding a rich 1998 vintage cognac from the Bourgoin Estate in Southwest France. The cognac cask finish imparts sweet herbal notes alongside aromas of milk chocolate, violet florals, brandy snaps, rose, and strawberries & cream. Limited to just 1,618 individually numbered bottles, this 20-year-old Speyside Single Malt is presented without added colour and without chill-filtration.
