Talisker is the only distillery on the Isle of Skye and this expression is a classic. Aged for at least 10 years in American oak casks. Described by the Scottish poet Robert Louis Stevenson as “the king o’ the drinks”. Made by the sea, the powerful peat smoke and maritime character of Talisker reflects its storm-lashed surroundings. Beneath the deep and stormy peat character lies a rich dried fruit sweetness, followed by a satisfying peppery finish. Perfect with smoked salmon and brown bread.
It was an Editor’s Choice at Whisky Magazine, a gold medal winner at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2017 and was awarded ‘Best Islands Single Malt’ at the 2017 World Whiskies Awards.

On the palate, floral heather with a hint of rose, before developing into richer flavours of salted caramel, chilli chocolate, smoky barley, and nectarines. The finish brings a sweetened smokiness, underscored by a subtle undercurrent of cedar. 45.8% ABV.
