Hailing from Glencadam Distillery, this exceptional Highland single malt Scotch whisky undergoes a unique transformation with a finishing touch in Pinot Noir Wine casks. The journey begins with an initial maturation in bourbon barrels, allowing the whisky to develop its foundational character. Following this, it embarks on a second maturation phase, in which it resides within barrels sourced from the renowned Burgundy region of France. This secondary aging imparts a distinctive layer of complexity, enhancing the whisky with the nuanced influences of Pinot Noir wine, resulting in a remarkable and uniquely crafted expression.
Nose: Blackcurrant jam, nutmeg, dark chocolate, and figs.
Palate: An oily palate carries flavours of Black Forest gâteau, woody spices, toffee apples, vanilla custard, and cinnamon.
Finish: Rich and well spiced.
