This eight-year-old whisky, the youngest age-statement offering within the Port Askaig collection of single malts sourced from undisclosed Islay distilleries, exudes warmth and smokiness. It reveals enticing notes of limestone, liquorice, and deep peat.
NOSE – Zesty and smoky: freshly peeled lemons and coal smoke with orchard fruit and fresh grain.
PALATE – Limestone and coal fires give way to honeysuckle, sugar-snap peas and liquorice.
FINISH – Salt, pepper and lingering lemon as the smoke fades. -
