Tomatin’s smoky series of single malts, Cù Bòcan, received a bit of a redesign in mid-2019, receiving new bottles and new expressions – like this one! Cù Bòcan Signature is a lightly peated expression that has been drawn from a trio of casks; bourbon casks, Oloroso sherry casks and North American virgin oak casks. No chill-filtration or additional colours for this one, just fruit-forward, softly smoky whisky.
Nose: Coconut ice, lemons on the BBQ, a touch of white chocolate and strawberries.
Palate: Richer on the palate than on the note, with chewy caramel and dates. Still retails a hint of BBQ char.
Finish: Cooking spices slowly build, with a touch of apple and peach.

The palate brings juicy peach, vanilla cream and tropical hints of dried mango and pineapple, leading to a finish of toasted oak, orchard blossom and a gentle touch of pepper. Finish: Currant Buns, A Hint Of Raspberry Jam, Barley.

When Tomatin Distillery Was Established In 1897, The Isolated And Idyllic Setting Of Tomatin Was Almost Perfect. However There Wasn’t A Local Workforce; The Local Inhabitants Were Scattered Shepherds And Cattle Drovers. The Company Began A Project Of Construction To Accommodate Its Workforce. Since That Time The Distillery Has Been At The Heart Of The Community And The Community At The Heart Of The Distillery. This Legacy Has Continued And Tomatin Remains One Of The Few Distilleries To Provide A Home For Its Dedicated Craftsmen.

Nose Caramelised apple, pear, sultana, orange peel, apricot and hints of aged leather
Palate Chocolate fudge, manuka honey, dried fruit and nut.
