This festival release of a Limited Edition whisky was initially distilled on October 28th, 1998 and then matured in American Oak casks before being transferred to first-fill Manzanilla sherry casks on May 25th, 2016 for the finishing stage. Manzanilla sherry is renowned for its coastal, nutty, and salty notes, which are similar to the characteristics of our Bunnahabhain spirit. Despite being less common than some other sherries, our Master Blender and Master Distiller appreciate using it in our whisky.
To intensify and concentrate the flavor, this festival edition whisky is bottled at cask strength, without added color, and non-chillfiltered, in line with all our whiskies.

Palate: Rich, yet dry on the palate. Honey spice, stone fruits, toasted oak and a gentle note of freshly cut grass.
Finish: Lingering finish of desiccated coconut and a touch of cocoa. -

Despite challenges from a 2019 fire in the biomass boiler fuel store, the distillery crafted this vibrant expression using winter and summer runs of concerto and laureate barley, matured in a mix of red wine, Moscatel, and Marsala casks. This youthful malt delights with notes of sweet vinous fruit, floral honey, and orchard blossom on the nose, followed by apple compote, stone fruits, and oaken spice on the palate, culminating in a lingering finish of rich oak, chocolatey malt, and woody clove.
