Product Information
The sweeter side of Arran Single Malt is highlighted in the new range of wine cask finishes presented by the company in 2020. The traditional Single Malt is matured for eight years in oak casks before being “finished” in carefully selected Sauternes wine casks, chosen by the Master Distiller from a small producer. The combination of wine and whisky notes results in a perfect partnership. This option is an excellent choice for those who prefer a sweeter taste in their whisky and is an ideal accompaniment to creamy toffee or fudge-based desserts.
Nose – Honey sweetness and citrus
Palate – Richly honeyed and backed with a lifting zestiness which slides into spice and zingy salt. Once the dram opens out, vanilla and sultana stand out followed by notes of toasted oak.
Finish – Sweetness, Honey, Apricots, Melon, Honeysuckle.
