This 12-year-old Lagavulin is matured in a mix of refill casks and sherry-seasoned casks—both Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso—resulting in a powerful and smoky dram. It’s intensely peaty and phenolic, with layers of smouldering embers, wood ash, and coastal salinity, alongside faint notes of medicinal bandages and a whisper of clean, soapy freshness.
