Kilchoman distillery has introduced a limited edition Fino Sherry Cask Matured whisky for 2023. This special release is a blend of 20 Fino Sherry Butts that were previously used by Bodega Jose y Miguel Martin in Spain. The Kilchoman spirit has been aged in these casks for a minimum of five years, resulting in a dry, salty flavour that is perfectly balanced with a hint of fresh green fruit and a subtle, delicate peat smoke.
Nose: Dry peat smoke, sweet fruits. A lasting aroma of sweet butterscotch.
Palate: Sweet honeycomb, rich toffee and caramel. Fresh citrus and fruit with hints of almonds and lingering peat smoke.
Finish: Long-lasting ripened citrus fruit with subtle peat smoke which has coated the palate right through shares the finish with hints of dark chocolate.
