The Edradour No. 2 Inaugural Edition marks a historic first release from the new Edradour No. 2 Distillery, located alongside the original Edradour site in Perthshire. Distilled in 2018 and bottled in 2025, this single malt was fully matured in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts, reflecting the distillery’s commitment to bold flavour and traditional craftsmanship.
Bottled at a robust 57.1% ABV, un-chillfiltered and naturally coloured, it offers a pure expression of this exciting new chapter. Founded in 1825, Edradour—Scotland’s “Little Gem”—continues its legacy of small-batch, hands-on whisky making with this rich and expressive inaugural release.

Nose – Very sweet on the nose. Initially it is all creme caramel, caramelised fruit sugars, wood sugar, toffee and fudge before some apple and peach come through. In time a charred note of bourbon with a pleasing dusty dryness.
Palate – A sweet start on the palate. The alcohol gives a little tongue-tingling buzz the result is a good mid-palate weight. The dry distillery character is there still, but there is now depth to counter. Water slightly dismantles the different elements, but adds some dried mint.
Finish – A deep and dark finish.
