Product Information
The 10-year-old single malt whisky represents a notable achievement for the distillery, as it is their inaugural permanent age-statement offering. The spirit was matured exclusively in second-fill Oloroso sherry casks, carefully selected by the distillery. The whisky spent a full ten years maturing in Spanish sherry oak, resulting in a pleasantly sweet and luxurious flavor profile. This release serves as a fitting tribute to the mastery, devotion, and patience of Wolfburn’s accomplished master distillers.
NOSE: Soft sherry sweetness melds with figs and raisins. There’s a lovely hint of vanilla and oak present too.
PALATE: The depth of flavour is tremendous. Bold chocolate and dark fruit flavours abound, with overtones of caramel and vanilla, all accompanied by gentle hints of nutmeg and oak smoke.
FINISH: Silky tannins make for a beautifully textured finish; there’s a residual sweetness with dried fruit and caramel flavours lingering to the very end.
