According to the story, distillery workers encountered a horse-like creature with a ‘horn’ one night, leading to rumors of a unicorn sighting. Despite skeptics pointing to Rory, the distillery’s greedy Shetland Pony, the mysterious event remains part of Islay lore. This non-chill filtered whisky, with its sweet yet smoky character, has won a Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2024 and two Gold medals at the International Spirits Challenge and International Wine and Spirits Competition.
Aroma: Rich, sweet, and fruity with baked banana bread and syrupy sponge pudding, followed by treacle and burning cedarwood. A splash of water reveals tropical fruits, eucalyptus oil, and soft, aromatic smoke.
