Produced at the Hebridean Distillery for 6 months of the year, Ledaig, pronounced ‘Letch-ick’, is a smoky single malt. Heavily-peated, robust, and with sweet smoke and earthy notes. A wonderfully smoky island Single Malt Scotch whisky which balances sweet and floral aromas with the richness and warmth of sea salt and smoke. The spirit is gently aged in ex-bourbon casks for many years before being finished in selected ex-sherry casks for a final flourish, adding layers of complexity and finesse.

Aged in three types of casks – bourbon, refill and recharred, brought together and bottled at 46%, non-chill filtered, to keep things as nature intended.

Nose: Rich and fruity with Victoria plums, dried orange peel, butterscotch, and a hint of smoke.
Palate: Starts sweet, then becomes more assertive with smoke, coal-tar, and toffee.
Finish: Medium length with a warming chilli ‘catch’. -

The ‘new make’ spirit produced by the Macallan is transformed into an iconic single malt when matured in Oloroso sherry seasoned oak casks sourced from Jerez, Spain. The resulting single malt is rich, fruity and full-bodied. After being filled, the spirit is left to mature undisturbed in the same casks for a period of 18 years. The resulting single malt is characterized by mature oak, ginger and raisin flavors, which come together to create a rich and complex taste experience.
COLOUR – Light mahogany.
NOSE – Dried fruits and ginger with hints of vanilla and cinnamon.
PALATE – Soft and rich, with hints of spice, clove, orange and toasted mature oak.
FINISH – Lingering with dried fruits, ginger and orange zest.
