Initially aged in American oak ex-bourbon casks before being finished in hand-selected Tawny Port barriques from Portugal, it gains layers of rich fruit and complexity. Bottled at 46% ABV, uncoloured and non-chill filtered, it offers aromas of cooked fruits, cinnamon pastries, glace cherries, dark chocolate and clove spice. The palate reveals baked strawberry, stewed rhubarb, vanilla custard, sweet nougat, candied almonds and cocoa, leading to a nutty, warming finish with coffee cake, ripe brambles, walnuts and lingering dark chocolate. Only 6,072 bottles available.
