Secret Islay 8 Year Old is a rare and boldly characterful single malt, distilled on 30 January 2017 in South Islay and limited to just 160 bottles. Initially matured in refill bourbon casks, it was then reracked into an ex-rum, ex-cider cask gifted by Futtle Brewery—previously used by Little Pomona—before a final finishing in virgin oak. Bottled at 56.7% ABV, the nose bursts with smoky Islay bonfire, white pepper, stewed apples, vanilla pod and pine. The palate is surprisingly soft, offering salty seaweed, kippers, yellow toffee apples and rum cake, with a long, smoky finish. A truly distinctive and experimental Islay dram.

Bottled at 56.3% ABV, this single cask release is non-chill filtered, natural in colour, and limited to just 210 bottles. Dailuaine 8 Year Old is a limited release from independent bottler Blind Summit, showcasing the distillery’s famously waxy spirit. Distilled on 5 May 2017 and bottled at 55.6% ABV, only 142 bottles were produced from this standout cask. The nose is rich with candied ginger, lemon, buttermilk, pear, peach, crème caramel and toffee. The palate is full, round and oily, offering notes of wild honey, apricot, peach, custard and gentle spice. A bold and expressive Speyside single malt from one of Blind Summit’s favourite casks.

The Lochend Blend is a lively and approachable blended malt Scotch whisky, crafted from six single malts: Ledaig, Caol Ila, Ben Nevis, Brackla, Macduff and Highland Park, and married in an Australian Tawny cask. With Ledaig providing a smoky coastal backbone and the others adding body and complexity, this all-malt blend is rich, balanced and seriously drinkable. Bottled at 46.8% ABV, it is the result of Blind Summit’s first year of feedback and a mission to create quality whisky at an accessible price. Wrapped in vibrant label art inspired by Lochend Park, it is a fun name, fun dram and made for sharing.
