The process begins with the locally-grown barley which is pot distilled then re-distilled into vodka using a rare and specially-commissioned Carterhead Still, named “Puffing Billy.” In order to ensure that the delicious flavour can be appreciated by the drinker, borders distillery do not employ regular filtration methods. Instead they steam the spirit through charcoal that is inside the Carterhead Still. This vodka has subtle creamy hints comes in a miniature 5cl bottle with 40% ABV.
