Washed Ashore Cask 02 is a rare 11-year-old Dominican Republic agricole rum, limited to just 139 bottles. Column-distilled and matured for nine years in ex-bourbon barrels before being reracked to Scotland, it spent a further two years finishing in a peated Islay quarter cask. Bottled at natural cask strength of 62.3% ABV, it combines tropical Caribbean sweetness with a distinctly Scottish smoky edge. Expect layered notes of hot orange, buttery banana, vanilla, burnt biscuit, creamy coffee and spicy oak, leading to a savoury, smoky finish. A bold, one-off single cask release crafted for collectors and adventurous rum enthusiasts alike.
