The Distillery have created a warming, smoky version of their signature whisky by using a combination of ex-islay barrels and peated quarter casks and have chosen an icy blue label to reflect the bitterly cold and frosty Ayrshire winters.

The main differences from Ploughing Edition (First Crop) this year are the focus on solely 200 litre barrels, and further ageing in thier on-site warehouse. This whisky starts with fresh green apple on the nose, then come those inviting trademark Lochlea cereal notes. The palate offers more succulent fruit alongside fresh cut summer hay. The finish shows savoury hints of sea salt and lingering peaty embers.
